A NEW lending program designed to uplift and empower Navajo business owners, artisans, and entrepreneurs in taking the next step towards greater success.
The Navajo Nation Division of Economic Development proudly announces the Navajo Small Business Credit Initiative (NSBCI). This program offers loans and guarantees tailored for Navajo small businesses, enterprises, and nonprofits, enabling them to grow, expand, and hire more employees.
NSBCI provides financial support for various needs, including working capital and equipment financing, with loan amounts ranging from $5,000 to $20 million. This initiative represents a long-term investment in the Navajo economy, driven by Navajo-owned businesses.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Business with 51% ownership by an enrolled Navajo citizen.
- Nonprofit with majority Navajo-control at the governing level.
- Non-Navajo owned business that employs a significant number of Navajo people or can demonstrate direct benefit to the Navajo people.
- Business or nonprofit located on or off the reservation in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, or CO.
- Seeking debt financing between $5,000 – $20M.
